“Where Dreams Punch in Silence” is a visual exploration that captures the quiet intensity and unseen effort that go into amateur boxers’ journeys before they reach the big stage. Even though their work is unseen and unheard, they are constantly striving towards their dreams with every punch they throw in the boxing gym. However, the transition from amateur to professional boxing is a daunting challenge, with only a fraction of amateur boxers succeeding in making the leap to the professional ranks. This is largely attributed to the fiercely competitive and selective nature of the professional boxing world.

This series was sparked by a curiosity to understand why most amateur boxers never make the leap to the professional level and how they cope with the challenge and pressure that comes with it.
